Lord, I've Been Ready For Years

It could be that time will bring in me a change
When really and truly I stand
Viewing the waters so dark and so strange
That stretch to that promised land
It could be that I will leave crying in vain
As always succumbing to fears
But gladly today I would give up the strain
'Cause Lord I've been ready for years

Lord I've been ready been ready for years
I've stumbled through darkness and struggled through tears
Lord I've been ready for years

Narrow's the way that I know I must tread
Though I've often strayed from the road
A little ashamed of the life that I've lead
A little bit stooped from the load
Lord I'm not complaining, just thinking out loud
I'm thankful more than it appears
But if You should call me some day I'd be proud
'Cause Lord I've been ready for years

No Earthly Good

Come hear me good brothers come here one and all
Don't ya brag about standing or you'll surely fall
You're shinin' your light yes and shine if you should
You're so heavenly minded and you're no earthly good

No earthly good you are no earthly good
You're so heavenly minded you're no earthly good
You're shinin' your light yes and shine if you should
You're so heavenly minded and you're no earthly good

Come hear me good sisters you're salt of the earth
If your salt isn't salted then what is it worth
You could give someone a cool drink if you would
But you're so heavenly minded and you're no earthly good

If you're holdin` heaven then spread it around
There are hungry hands reaching up here from the ground
You could help them stand on their feet if you would
But you're so heavenly minded you're no earthly good

No earthly good you are no earthly good
You're so heavenly minded you're no earthly good
You could help them stand on their feet if you would
But you're so heavenly minded you're no earthly good

Jesus Knows Who I Am

I'm just one of many millions
Who has walked upon this Earth
But Jesus gave His Life on Calvary
Just to show how much I'm worth

Jesus knows who I am
Even though I'm just one man
And someday I'll understand
How Jesus knows who I am

I may never be the rich man
And my name may never be known
But angel's will shout my name in Glory
When I move to my New Home

The Same Old Fashioned Way

There’s a place in the back of my mind
A little corner reserved for all time
It’s home sweet home
Precious memories oh so fine
There’s just some things
I cannot leave behind

And I still love you Lord
In the same old fashioned way
And I know that I could never feel any other way
And even if I could live to be a hundred years or more
I’d still love you Lord
In the same old fashioned way

Father time grows older every day
He says I’ve changed
Well I guess so have you
And as time runs out on this life of mine
I know my love for Jesus will never change

I'm Winging My Way Back Home

Down deep in my soul, a melody rings, I'm winging my way back home

A sinner is saved, from sin he's set free, I'm winging my way back home

I'm climbing each day, every day, since Jesus is mine, (truly mine) I'll travel the road (narrow road) to glory divine

The way is called straight, that enters the gate, I'm winging my way back home

Where The Soul Never Dies

To Canaan's land, I'm on my way
Where the soul of man never dies
My darkest night will turn to day
Where the soul of man never dies

No sad farewells (There will be no sad farewells)
No tear dimmed eyes (There'll be no tear dimmed eyes)
Where all is joy (All is peace and joy and love)
And the soul never dies (Soul of man never dies)

A rose is blooming there for me
Where the soul of man never dies
And I shall live eternally
Where the soul of man never die

No sad farewells (There will be no sad farewells)
No tear dimmed eyes (There will be no tear dimmed eyes)
Where all is love (All is peace and joy and love)
And the soul never dies (Soul of man never dies)

It's Been Done

We may never have to suffer
And we may never have to die
Like the Savior did on Calvary
On the cross He bled and died

We will never have to travel
On a road to Calvary
There's no cross for us to die on
It's been done for you and me

All the things that we may suffer
And all the tears that we cry
Are not worth the life He gave us
On the cross He bled and died

Doctor God

Doctor God
Won't you give me an appointment
Been so long since I've had a check up
Could you squeeze me in today

Doctor God
I know there's a long line a-waiting
Emergency situation
And I need you
Doctor God

I have come to see the prophet
Can you tell me is he in today
Well, He's the man with a healing hand
Tell him for me, take me by my hand
Don't you know I need, I need a Doctor
Right away

Doctor God, Oh Doctor God
Won't you show me the way to salvation
Lead me away from temptation
Lord close the door to hate

Jesus Was There

On a night long ago I lay far from sleep
I was lost and all alone and Lord, sure in need
Of a friend that I could trust and take my troubles to
Oh the friend came and went and troubles only grew

So I looked back upon my life and all my sinful ways
And in the dark of that night I could see clear as day
Oh that I was not alone and lost without a prayer
For I opened my eyes and Jesus was there

Jesus was there in the still of that night
Oh my Jesus was there an old friend that I had left out of my life
So when I wakened I just looked back on that night oh so drear
And I thank God that Jesus was there

Last Train To Glory

It came last night as I was sleeping
A train like no other I have seen
From the way I woke up cold and scared and shakin'
I know that it wasn't just a dream

It came flying through a cloudy silver lining
Riding on a shiny rail of gold
With the sound of a thousand voices singing
Warming me through my heavy soul

Get on board it's the last train to glory
Ride the golden rail of the Lord
Lay your burdens down, get on board

Out came the hand of the conductor
Then I once handed out a dime
Come on, you don't need to buy a ticket
You've been payin' such a long long time
Just ride the same way you've been livin'
Just turn around and help the next one on
You're here because you know the gift of givin'
And no one makes it on this train alone
